Timber Cladding – Black Painted Siberian Larch

Profile – Half Lap

Date – Autumn 2016

Location – Devon

Project – Private Dwelling

Description  The customer chose timber cladding as a design choice as they like wood as a material. They went for a black coating to help soften the impact of the new build against the old house and the conservation requirement of planning permission required a clear change in styles.  One other practical consideration was that the extension was SIP’s and cladding was therefore a straightforward choice as all the insulation requirements had already been tackled
