High Quality Joinery Timber

Grading

The main commercially available grades of joinery timber in the UK are sixths, fifths and unsorted with sixths being the lowest grade and unsorted being the highest grade.  At Brookridge Timber we stock fifth grade which is used for general purpose products such as PSE and Decking. We also stock a wide range of unsorted timber which can be used for high quality joinery projects such as furniture manufacture.

Treatment

Brookridge Timber offers a variety of pressure treatments through its factory controlled ISO 9001 audited process.
The treatment processes, greatly extends the service life of the timber protecting  it from wood decay and insect attack.
Our high pressure treatment process is available in either green or brown and is carried out to meet the User Class requirements of BS8417 the industry code of practice for the preservative treatment of timber.  Please contact us for information on what is the appropriate User Class for your desired end use.
Brookridge Timber also offers a low pressure process which also provides long term protection against all forms of wood decay and insect attack and is widely used with our construction and joinery timbers as it does not change the precise dimension of the timber.  This is a low pressure double vacuum process (Vac Vac).
More detailed information of these products are detailed on the treatment pages of the website.
